In 1999, Garp & Liis Flack started Sticks & Stones as a small collection of beautiful and well-designed kitchenware products manufactured in a small workshop in Wiltshire and sold at London Portobello Road and Spitalfields market. Their love for handmade interior treasures and passion for travel has increased Sticks and Stones eclectic range of personally sourced and produced products.
One thing has remained constant, they still have a driving passion to create and hand pick things that are truly original in their appearance and functional in their design. Sympathetic to the material from which they come, handmade and always putting quality above quantity.
For the first ten years Sticks & Stones traded as a wholesale supplier, hand making products for many kitchen shops and restaurants in UK and abroad. Their esteemed client list included Liberty Stores, The Conran Shop, Bennetts, Divertimenti, Summerill and Bishop, Richard Dare, La Fromagerie, Brissi, Lane Crawford (HK), Majilis Gallery (Dubai) to name but a few. Their boards are also still widely used in celebrated restaurants the world over.
Sticks & Stones opened their shop in 2008 at their local village in Woodborough, Wiltshire and have now expanded the shop to a larger premises and included " Cafe Bark", serving light lunches and refreshments.
Their latest high profile commissions they are rightfully very proud to announce are a “Sunday Roast†Carving Board for Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their “wedding”: and undertaking to produce items from past used pieces of the illustrious battleship HMS Victory.
